About the Role
The director must be 21 years of age or older, have at least a bachelor’s degree from an
accredited college or university, have a valid driver’s license, and successfully pass a criminal
check (BCII and FBI) and required searches (Ohio Alleged Perpetrator, National Sex Offender
Registry, SAM, and Recovery Data). As well as 3+ years experience working with children.
The director is responsible for the successful operation of all programs run by The Louise
Shropshire Corporation and to maintain compliance with Ohio Administrative Code (OAC)
licensing standards and to assure compliance with accreditation standards.
Requirements
The director is responsible for the following duties and other duties as assigned by the Board of
Directors:
Maintain compliance with all licensing and accreditation standards
Develops, implement, and enforce agency policies
Oversee all employees
Completes staff evaluations
Hire and terminate employees
Recruit placements
Work with counties on placements and issues as they may arise
Approve placements
Represent the agency at community events
Attend meetings between youth and their county
Conduct staff meetings
Provide training to staff as needed
Be available for Board meetings
Develop and present annual budget to the Board of Directors
Be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to resolve crisis and instruct staff
Other duties assigned by the Board of Directors
Training
The director must complete the agency’s trauma informed training and any training
recommended by the Board of Directors.
